Head Height

In my head I live ten stories up
It's a walk-up
I got the couch up there
Then threw out my back
With the bed

The air is thin up here
I get emotional
Like when I'm on a plane
And watch a mediocre movie
To cry my eyes back in

Sockets wrench my gut
Embarrassment simmers
On the public front burner
While I watch the rear
And dream to disappear
