Reacquaintances

We will go to danger
And risk no return
Friendly ships post no such messages

Our voyages are circular
Ensured to remain
Truly ourselves
More than a group
Uncommitted, moderately engaged
The just-right porridge
One bowl each

Time had passed
Lunar double cycles
Since our paths went the
High road
And the suds
Brought us together

Fear embers heat hesitation
Until the ocean on which we float
Extinguishes deferred conflagrations
As our reacquaintances once again
Bring us many our happy return
