Rootlessness and Internationally Incorporated

Travel by way of ether
The net is wide and you'll pass through
Any of the visa stations
Set up for riff-raff, not for the likes
Of your hallowed ass
Whose platinum cards slide up and down
The cracks between your wisdom
And the teeth that pulled you up
Generations ago, trees tell it
There were fires and you profited
And now your solid state
Is go anywhere
Take anything
Pay what it costs
For you set the price
Except for that immobile place
That you'll never know
Though you'll own a few
As home slips through your fingers
Life fades out to sham
