it's not a matter of youth 
it's something to do with 
several possibilities 
or perhaps just one 
or maybe not either or 
but the feeling of 
extending the nature 
across the face of nature 
from a pine cone 
demands the attention 
and who wouldn't give 
to an urgent desire 
the motive never ulterior 
interior generation of 
the necessary heat 
as the sparks break off 
to light fires of their own
