to dissolve the space
between you and 
three seconds ago
before our eyes met
before the rain whet
our inside appetites.
Now that our viscosity
fills a small crystal glass
we can lift our lips
and drink what we learn
of our pasts and fasts
as our hungers 
are seated
to our brims.
