Fourth Stall Evening Out

Open and besides
what's more
there is more.

There you have
a typical start
to one of my poems.

My mind eats abstractions
poops abstractions
collects abstractions.

And there you have
a little repetition
to show that we
you and me
are in this together
a little bit chorus
a little bit newfound lyrical fuss.

When I loosen my grip
on my mind and my fingers
the two conspire
to describe me
to prescribe me
to deride me.

We have been finding our way
the pieces of me
and you
determining that there
could have been no other way
and still we shall not be still.
