Production

Brought together and put out.
That's output.
A gathering, a tree,
its nuts. An end in them
selves or a means to
more of the same.

Propagation does not
always demand its toll;
apples are separable from
both their progenitors
and their seeds.

Thus measures of economy,
of utility, are relative futility:
once made, again produced,
the question of whether
the ocean moves as a wave
or if its particles merely
as with photons
move up and down and onto
the grains of the sand-strewn shore.
