Firm Ground

Ah, yes, insistence.
On pasts hard and good.

That today is a flop
house horror,
tautology one oh one.

There may be standards
insufficiently coetaneous
to solvent us ataraxis.

Stand on this water
the bottom is down there
if breath holds
and the sink downs
to a solid liquid core.
