Hanker

I want to be hungry.
No thing as sweet
as the empty stomach sandwich.
No whistle as whettable
as the thirsty's tongue.
 I carry the desire for fullness
a mission that may be overachieved;
in plenty, in satiation,
hunger fails
and my windless sails
sag like the sack
of an overfull stomach.
