Think and Throw Fits

By the thousands, they came
Cliché from the first
Locusts, beetles, cockroach mounds
Feral was their thirst

Upon my honor I did try
To stop the blight and plague
But my vision action lie
Remained a lot too vague

Think hard up a strategy
Until conditions burned
Out my perfect plucky plan
My efforts never learned

Rage the dark and fight for good
Was my written line
Another book of former wood
To shiver every spine

  1. I loved reading this. It’s truly sad—the fact that the narrator is then losing over and over and over again is truly sad. I love the way the text was written though. It’s very powerful and impactful. You did a great job choosing words that will stop the reader to make them feel. Thank you for sharing!
