Raise Anchors Then Let Them Go

Burdens sum: flower life
A bee and legs and pollen
Onto rhythms ride along
Traffic hummer minded

Slog the sky
Return soiled iron filings
To the cabinet in the earth

Spare no fence, neighbor
Repeat words to find
Our common heart
Beaten, rugged, floored
Where enough is enough is enough

Accordingly, definitions are tougher
Than mid-morning sips
Of microwave coffee
In a blank ceramic mug
