Fall Up

Today, I felt a feeling
it did not go away
under its beam I'm reeling
as my infrastructure sways

Architecture's firm
that change is not the air
brick and mortar berm
whose grounding sinks my cares

Decisions brought my mind
to nostalgias and regret
this mortar pestle grind
stuck construction in its net

Proportion can't remember
that little things are small
and thirty times September
builds an ever upward fall
