1937

It's 1937.
Precipice takes meaning
and prepares it to blend.

The blades are sharp,
the eyes are wild,
the fields are soggy
and orange and dying.

On the edge
is the season
and the month is
not relevant.

History takes commentary
before the fact
and wears it as a paper mask
that it doesn't expect to last.
