Gray Morning Foglorn

It's an eerie blast, bone shaking
Loud and easily ignored
The call to slow down
Be more careful in the mist
Tugboat nightmares on my river brain
Re-introduction: sunless parts previously known
Eat, exercise, you won't sleep
That's what it was, is, will remain
And we shake
Both hands
As calamity now turns
To calm
Eking out a spirit other names
Watching the trees more carefully
Looking for contours
Of that which I'll never understand
