Do Something

Our understandings diverge
When it comes to this brief verb form
Action and purpose seem intertwined
In your sense of what has been Done

While I see the layers above and beside
Snapping turtle jaws through sticks
Scattering the ashes of cold fires
Swaggering across stages in view to none

Do, did you? That's the fact of every
Matter, a truth under each hat
You could sow from reality's thread
Upon reason's metaphysical brow

Insight, hearing, judgement
Splayed across nounified verbs
The mind, if you don't mind,
Would like done your acknowledgement
