From Across a Lake

One the one hand, a back faces the sun,
Shielding a machine of unreasonable power,
Triting out thoughts and verses
Descriptive, inscriptive, excriptive
Concerned with the conceptual lacks
Eros, freedom, and the socio-intellectual 
Orbits that could be

On the other bank, a debt analogy fails to
Capture the open spirit, a hoop and
A leap into the water
Followed by the yelps of a dog
Taking care and dancing
Barefoot, from shade to sun

We are parts of the Whom
Wherein dreams are acts in daylight
A music with an essay
Two poems, unrhymed with any other person
Accidentally working together
To show the lake what we are
