Observations, Mid-day

A gull lands on a lake brim
wearing the hesitation hat
it bought for a song on a beach;

Minding comes at the cost
of conscious abandonment,
and to give it away you'll have had it;

Free is a dominion of non-entities
when the definition of existence
is the meaning in conversation;

Did nature hear you call it that,
it will be off and ended by the
supposition that control is doable;

A faint white line keeps the ants
off a bench denied the sun's grace,
shade the eyelets so the bolts won't shoot;

A meander is the devil's grapefruit,
blossoming with acid
and taking your teeth.
