Half a mind

There's a compelling articulation of consciousness
as the drafting of many pages simultaneously
making focus not a seat at the theater
but a screen full of films 
drawing one's face a little closer 
to primary interest.

Perfection was a method
for coming up with good and evil
how much and when and why
ideal cleanliness, the great work
yet that theory of mind
implies that we are not acting 
even in a youthful play
hungering for the global reach.
