The highest thinkers
felt too deeply to look into their own hearts
and so they came to believe
logic would bring the salvation
that the world had said:
"you shall never see"
and so in pursuit of valuation and worth
each head went to work
articulating a theory of mind
then tearing apart every notion
as a belief in knowledge
as the key to everything
is the same as being outside
of one's body, self, world
but these are more words
and language is broken
as I argue
as I have rejected the universe
in disappointment
and failure
building castles and undoing all else
for fear of mirrors.
