Have you been in a poem
that was just getting started
and halfway through
a rhyme scheme comes through
stanzas are formed 
when prior not one
writerly scorn
reader be done

edit not these entry ways
for they reveal how a verse
went night to day

waking up is just a good
as middle's march
without a should

figures enter a smoky screen
that how we meant
to start the scene

lazy mist and frozen dew
how, please god,
did come to you.
