discipline and good shoes
sent on a road that will make
the progenitors feel like
their lives have direction
and meaning angry less
or that's the theory
and the law
and when you break it
you buy everything in store
for the tomorrow mornings;
but I'm staying out of retail
and hope to get no deal
contracted to tear up
any paper that comes to my hands
because even when something is new
it makes me (feel, made) older than
