Without nostalgia
Or the bright edges
Of remembrance glow
Afore days ever darker
Solstices without inflection
Summers wintered
Autumns greyer
Greenless spring
Leaving the shadows
Dancing cryptonomically
Indecipherable plots
Overwhelming feelings
A past without future
Yet a today with days before
And thus the darker memories
Are predictors of brighter days
A film of dire character
Harbinger of happiness
And so remember not too well the good times
And hold tight to the rough
The scratches will set the soul free
To revel in heavens ahead
