Slate-Weighted Ceiling

Should the sky be slate
gray will feel great.

The day's plate
sets fate by fork

giving either torque
or tineless tension.

Extra attention
bursts like these

solid clouds
providing rain,

palliation for
pain's previous

sense of against
the grain.
