Cafe Rain Up Stairs

My fire water carry
is up five flights
to conceal my treachery
from the middle of the
afternoon.

I am a humble buzzard
I circle around burnt bean
death piles
heated to prove
it may be late in the day.

Put it out, I hear,
from the patter on the
ceiling glass,
but on my glass
I put it up.
