Examine, closely,
the language imp;
ulcer to some

This hole in my stomach
is a hunger game
to eat and lose and eat

When explanation
rivals incantation
shallow water freezes

For salt, wanting,
and interindividual
altercations sum

To a total togetherness
by some measures
gentle symbol by others
