Cooler Afraid Chills Down to Chill

As fear ascends
appropriately
close to the sun,
the fearer melts,
as intended.

Things dear
go like stones
covered in wax
shedding that skin,
shattering in the hot
high binge.

Editorial intent retains
that destructive repulse,
more fulsome than
total decimation.

Distinction distinguishes
nihilism from attention.
Retain! Retain! Retain!
