Every End is Between

Alas, at last arrived
and it was interstitial.

Finality is that kind of theology
that has an end in mind

to justify these messy means.
The seething cosmos cannot care

about reasons.
Even seasons swim and squander

in between hinges and doorways
pretending to apogees

whose crests and scoffs
will spiral out of their circle.
