Corner Woman, Smoking

The rain dampens
these vivacious streets

Cannot dampen
vivacious human feet

Theory squirrels heads
in front of cars

And as crushed
understanding

Umbrellas leave enough
penumbra for wets

We are pretty
we westies

Coasters absorb
our coffee-stained teeth
