Stay at Home, Dad

From what I hear,
my father never changed

my diaper,
never game me

a bath.
From what I saw,

my father never changed.
I would like to stay reconciled

with my son
so that we do not need

to miss our chance
to reconcile

in light
of death.

Consider me here
and I will consider you

well.
