Roman

without sleep, drift

rumble strip activated, tires out of line
wheel's a second order cause
and open eyes at midnight the first

blind spots darker and trigger warning red
the sleepless is an afternoon
zombie living dead

faded graying brownout mirror
always looking back
ruminations won't get clearer
further off the track
