Here in the wind, too

From across the cage,
whose edges are visible
at last,
I wave.
And waver.

Escape seems
portable
and I could move
again.

Deep outsides
won't become available
until I cease to be;

I know that,
but it rankles
when context swerves counter
to the prevalent wind.
