Joy Between the Eyes

Joy wears a mask
all you see
are the eyes.

Delight shimmers
at the core
of someone you'll never know.

Ask, ask, ask,
you won't receive
but you'll feel.

Every road leads to
lucid glee
when the noes stay in the nose.

Don't blow them out,
breath through your mouth
and smile at the face for which you pine.
