John stumbled in conversation
Again upon immediate review
On a sidewalk crack

Ideal is his ghost
Plato's Lucifer
Who prepares the fall
With images of perfection

Shiny apple on a hill
Drawn to crisp scale
Whose knowledge shatters
Every peaceful moment
