Reading Again

I am raveling once more
after unning into words less---
fewer whispers of sweet everything
for my thirsty ears.

Call it reading I will
even if these books
are read to me
by someone's friendly assent.

The addiction is like coffee
a few foul effects---
primarily the way toward
smooth, consistent flow.
