defile the future
with presumptive permanent
horizons.

Horizontal lines coordinate
with cartesian waters
to delay the river north;
raindrops leave scars
on geology's schedule.

When a group rejects
dejection opts
to resist urges
and requisite normal
relations.

Embarrassment is so many letters
begging forgiveness
from notices in paper faces
suppliers of red and cheek 
and tongue.
