One for the sunny
two for the snow
without a meal yet
coffee undoes slow

Apparent insurmounted
abandoned at the lawn
suburban wiggle romping
dear winter, can we fawn?

Intone abacuses 
computed logic train
track down every ghost-myth
for acid drinking rain

Speed stares down velocity
ochre meets its making
return childhood precocity
until perfection's raking

Leaves pile where they will
squirrels laugh at the mile
up and down and sideways
morning and a smile
