To Each An Ice Cream Cone

The green moon opens its nostrils
to inhale vertigo from the sun.
Gravity shouts, get down from
there. The black space between
says it will stay nothing until
nothing gets closer to something.
Accomplice stars sent comets,
knowing that their day would
come and pluck a nose hair out
of a satellite to save its world
from embarrassment.
