Quickening Thickening

Fast time fractures.
It's not strong enough
to bear brunts or grunts.
Whisper until whipsaws
appear like treetops
in a yellow breeze.
The morning is defined
by its shadows, simple
sentences laid out on pavement.
Each umbra delivers a cloud report
and says the sun's angle.
Cut through the watch.
