Battery Down

Technology metaphors fail the imagination test:
should a simple on go off, would the sun's particles persist?
Persist demands interrogation and won't give up its
futures so easily as a transistor. Resist ease and
find a new explanation, a partiality lit by candle
or dawn, and consider a mouse a thousand years
past and hence, see its whiskers and its childhood,
its birth and its death, and remember that
mouse's world holds as much electricity as the
total output of every battery charged and dead.
