at midsummer's noon

No one watches out
for watches too closely
as obsessions frolic
blooming goodly bad

Poets fetishize words 
and make language 
course downstream
in a way it never would

Attention does things
ignorance would never counsel
so look away
close your eyes

Critics cannot touch
underground ostrich sighs
