One for Money, Two the Glow

Old lamps vamp best
given one volte-face
each lit to the rest of
our abilities, cresting
lucid the sea of after
noon stories (syrupy
as an extra so-
called consonant can
consonance); resonance
stays wary with plants
in the room, for tombs
can only dig when life
has once been presence.
