If you built it, that’s the sun

The buildings and the firewood
every road and nook and good
all the fires and their ash
bleeding, seeding, gully gash
each thing built or gilt or wilt
has its single solid cause
and it's gas and heat and awe
given to the green and mold
that first cause and just so old
so give it up for solar god
the sun makes brick
makes ticks
makes sod.
