Human Animal Nature

Skies darken over every utopia;
the sun sends its message to idealists,
Dare not believe in definite light--
the lucid are crucibles for fireless fates.

Sine curve existence? Ha. Pah.
"Forgot about death"
is the diagnosis
for every symptom's cure.

Pushes from unknown interiors
drop trees and feathers and brains
from perches unearned
to emptiness, unlearned.

Power eats while meekness waits
so stand your place aground;
oceans wash lines in the sand
and space wipes stars from the sky.
