Excision?

I often give it a go:
now this is how you do 
any given thing. 
It's because I am 
so susceptible to
instruction, suggestion,
prescription. 
They each addict me
hard and then I lurch
and lose the taste. 
Why would I want
to make that run
for anyone?
The compulsive tries
to make compulsive. 
I'll try to chew instead
on revulsion
and shiver in permanent
revision.
