Avoidance

I become evasive when a pair of lights 
appear to be heading directly for me

but I am not moving fast enough
nor am I large enough

to get out of the way
or represent a threat

to those lights
those advancing lights

that have me frozen
I am a deer

and I am only ever going 
to be here
