At first, it's a matter of
getting and only later
can the begotten turn
to being. They call it
a love language and it's
a metaphor beyond language.
It's physical, entered into,
an agreement. It shakes,
it grasps, it envelops.
It can be romantic,
but don't let that fool
you. It's a sign that
you're close to reality,
touch. It's a symbol of
what you've lost to
the screen. And it's
a type, a method,
a function. To use
it on life does not
mean you lived. To
use it on death means
you walked with the dying
and your hands brushed
at the moment
they died.
