Laying Down the Hours

All relations
are built on
acts. Each
act plays
up short.
That's why
each minute
has to lay down
head to foot
feet and feet
and feet and
become over
sixties, many
many many
penny hours.
The time comes
cheap, but it does
not concrete unless
it has bled a
little. And we
could become
friends, if we
laid down with
the days and
years and became
intimate with
these hours.
