Waiting

Taking it slow.
A reasonable response
to illness.
When can repose
compose a letter an hour
without the expectation
of a tower or power.
I cower under.
That way fright
replaces might
have been. 
Expectations
eliminated by fear
rather than played
by ear. 
A boring torch
bleeds up casually
letting the unfolding tunnel
funnel flickering knowledge
in a way that couldn't care to learn.
