The Ends of the Road

Drive in a circle and you will always be
in the middle of the road. This is code
for circular flatness, that idiomatic time
whose tempo rhymes with sever. Do
say never, it gives you perspective
on all the hours and years that you
can actually live. And do not take my
prescription for it. Let the advertising
take you away for fifteen seconds before
you come back to the program. Be sure
to dodge the hot day under a long fan.
Embrace non-sequiturs. And again,
ignore the instructions. Drive in
manual. Handle the bumps with
out rhymes. Do not drive too
straight, it will put you into
the ditch. Let the curves of
every day play with your
hands and demand that
your demands become
supplies of I accept.
Let that embrace
embrace itself,
like a circle
circling itself,
guiding the solar
system in an
insufficiently elliptical
impression direction.
