Intellect i.e. Anger

To be smart is
to be a shopping
cart. You fill up
with needs and
give in to desires.
Your heaviness
conspires to make
you feel as valuable
as the price that
rings you up.
When you fulfill
your task, you remove
your plastic masks
and ask to be corralled
so that the inattentive
do not dent you
with their also
angry cars.
Sun-softened
asphalt diffidence
makes up the
difference
between you and
the humble under
ground.
